New location of the group

That done! The group move to its final location in the building 630.

Batiment 630

We need know to unpack all the box to reinstall the lab and office.

IPS2

It is the end of Institut des Sciences du Végétal (ISV). The unit had to close. The group, with two other from ISV, is joinning the new Institute of Plant Sciences Paris-Saclay (IPS2). We are still in the same location since the final building of IPS2 is not ready to welcome us.

Permanent position in Crespi group

I manage to get a permanent position in the group of Martin Crespi. That's a big good news. I will continue to work on the different project that I was involved until know, such as RNAdapt.

More generally I will focussed on the quantitative control of root growth by ncRNA.

Post-doc at Crespi Group

I moved to Martin Crespi group in ISV in CNRS of Gif-sur-Yvette.

Research

I joined the RNAdapt project that is interested in the impact of lncRNA in the adaptation of plants to low phopsphate media.

Technical approaches

  • Advance confocal microscopy
  • image analysis (denoising, segmentation)
  • physiology (root morphology analysis)
  • Bioinformatic (RNAseq)

Post-doc at Laufs Group

I moved to Patrick Laufs group in INRA Versailles. I got a contract for 14 month so until end of 2013. I more specifically join the Morholeaf project.

IJPB

Research

Their I worked on the cellular aspect controling the dissection of leaf. To reach it I use the technics I learned in Klaus Palme group to be able to extract the cell structure of the leaf.

Technical approaches

  • Advance confocal microscopy
  • programing (automation)
  • image analysis (denoising, segmentation)

Post-doc at Palme Group

I moved to Klaus Palme group in the University of Freiburg. I worked their until end of October 2012

Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg

Research

Their I worked on the cellular aspect linked with root growth in close collaboration with the group of Olaf Ronneberger of the department of computer science. At my arrival, they already have preliminary results to isolate nuclei from confocal images. We manage to develop with their help segmentation of root cellular structure, so based on cell wall/cell plasma membrane labeling.

  • Reconstitution of 3D root at cellular scale from confocal images.
  • Characterisation at cellular scale of the influence of light on root growth.

Technical approaches

  • Advance confocal microscopy
  • programing (automation)
  • image analysis (denoising, segmentation)
  • physiology (root morphology analysis)

Ph.D. at Laufs Group

I joined Patrick Laufs group in INRA Versailles for my Ph.D. until end of December 2008.

IJPB

Research

I worked on the role of NAM /CUC genes in leaf serration and dissection:

  • Determination of the expression NAM /CUC genes in different compound-leave species through in situ hybridisation.
  • Functionnal analyse of the role of these genes via mutants, transformants and plants silenced by VIGS.
  • Characterisation of the genetic interactions between CUC2 /miR164A genes and others factors involved in Arabidospis leaf serration.

Technical approaches

  • Plant culture (green house, in-vitro, several species)
  • Molecular biology (RT-PCR, cloning, genotyping)
  • Cytology (in situ hybridisation, classic and confocal microscopy)
  • Genetics (Agro-transformation, selections of mutants and transformants, crosses, VIGS)
  • Physiology (leaf morphology analysis)
